The conference had talks on various aspects of 2D material growth, characterization, and application in technology from participants in China and Germany. There were also talks on new topological materials.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This was followed by a poster presentation. During the visit, Jintao delivered an oral presentation titled &#8220;Local anisotropy control of Pt\/Co\/Ir thin films with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy by surface acoustic waves&#8221; to an audience consisting of PIs, post-docs, master students, and PhD students from the Advanced Carbon-based Films Research Group. In addition to the scientific talk, Jintao also provided insights into academic life in the UK and shared information about the Marie Curie ITN programme and the MagnEFi project. Nous avons ainsi accueilli pendant 4 jours des \u00e9l\u00e8ves du secondaire mais \u00e9galement des familles avec enfants afin de leur faire comprendre la diversit\u00e9 des plan\u00e8tes qui peuplent notre Univers \u00e0 l&#8217;aide d&#8217;activit\u00e9s ludiques, de maquettes et d&#8217;exp\u00e9riences en direct.<br><br>Ils ont ainsi pu d\u00e9couvrir les conditions tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rentes et extr\u00eames qui r\u00e8gnent \u00e0 la surface de certains corps de notre Syst\u00e8me Solaire tels que V\u00e9nus, Mars ou encore Pluton. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 notre Transit Simulator (qui reproduit les passages de plan\u00e8tes devant leur \u00e9toile) et \u00e0 nos exp\u00e9riences de spectroscopie, petits comme grands ont pu se mettre dans la peau des astrophysiciens qui d\u00e9tectent et \u00e9tudient au jour le jour les plan\u00e8tes autour d&#8217;autres soleils que le n\u00f4tre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dLink:&nbsp;<a Jintao is trying to understand the interaction of surface acoustic waves (SAWs) and magnetic thin films. In his talk, he presented the audience with the background and current research progress of his project, which included the preparation of characterization of Pt\/Co and Pt\/CoFeB thin films, and the design and building of the SAW circuit. In addition, he demonstrated the influence of SAWs on magnetic thin films by simulation. Future plans were also introduced.
