I translated this into a specialization in spintronics during my BSc. and MSc. degrees in Applied Physics at the Eindhoven University of Technology. I started my PhD at the start-up Spin-Ion Technologies in March 2020, during which I will be working on combining He<sup>+<\/sup>&nbsp;ion irradiation and electric fields to modify structural and magnetic properties to improve magnetic domain wall motion in films and nanodevices. Combining these powerful techniques may result in more energy-efficient data storage devices.
