During his PhD (University of Salamanca, 1999) he spent a year at the Institute for Magnetics Research (The George Washington University). After that he was a postdoctoral Marie Curie Fellow at the Cavendish Laboratory (University of Cambridge). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He has a broad expertise in theoretical magnetism and micromagnetic modelling, a field he has been working in for over 25 years.
