Research background:
I come from a theoretical background in solid state physics. My focus of interest during both Masters and Bachelors Thesis has been the study of low dimensional quantum systems near their critical points. My goal has been to study these systems from the numerical point of view , but my Masters thesis also had a heavy focus on analytical methods.

In the MagnEFI project, I will try to understand the behavior of magnetic domain walls under the influence of applied electric fields. My goal is to develop some models that can provide deeper theoretical insights into the origins of the known effects of an applied electric field on multiferroic materials and multilayered structures. As a second step, we plan to extend our studies to opto-magnetic effects and conduct studies on the behavior of magnetic systems under the influence of external light sources.
